T-Mobile WAP, GPRS and Internet Settings

I have successfully unlocked my MPx200 for use on the T-Mobile network. I can not however connect via GPRS or WAP.

Anyone have the detailed settings they can share.

Quick question, how did you unlock the phone? And is it something anyone can do?

All you need is your IMEI number which is located on a sticker on the original box or under the battery, on a sticker, along with the ESN and HEX numbers.

Then contact Adam Roth at GSMPhonesource.com, give him the IMEI number and $20 and he will send you a code.

On the phone, if you insert a non AT&T SIM, it will come up with a screen asking you to input a network unlock code ( 8 digits for the MPx200) This is where you enter the code Adam will provide. Then all you have to do is set up all of your non AT&T settings (WAP, GPRS, etc...). The phone and all of the organizer functionality will work as soon as you enter the unlock code.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I've thought about getting one of these phones if I could unlock it. But what do you do when (if) there is a SmartPhone 2003 upgrade? Normally you can only get this through the carrier...

For the 2003 update, I don't think it will be available from anyone as the update utilizes different hardware, ie... processor, etc... I can not confirm this 100% but usually with a different platform, the older model phones are not upgradeable.

Let me know if you hear differently.

MPX200 Unlocking Service

As for unlocking the phone, this company provided excellent and fast service. They charged me $15 and my phone was unlocked within an hour. They have live support page on their website if you have any questions about the service or need help unlocking the phone.

Cool... so where did you buy it? I want to get one and try it on T-Mobile! Since there is no AT&T coverage where I live, I can't buy one the normal way.

Since unlocking the device is no longer a problem. Can you try out AT&T and if you don't like it cancel the service? Umm, try it out so that you can say get the phone for $150.00 from Amazon?

The Amazon route should work. Just make certain there is an x day trial period for the service and that Amazon will not charge you additional for the phone when you cancle early. Usually they do not get into that much detail, but check it out anyway.
