I know this is not the most efficient way to do it, but I found that having all my contacts and info synced is more important and necessary than not. So I've successfully synced my i550 to the mac using windows xp in parallels. After being able to sync by installing palm desktop into the virtual machine, I transfered my contacts to mac address book by exporting them to vcal.

Anyways maybe there are some of you like me that need to sync and this might be the easier way for now.
