I live in Ecuador, a small country in south america; and sadly, we dont have available the newest technology like other countries do.
I wanted a phone and a palm so the only available choice was the Samsung SPH i550. It works quite good.
Here comes the trouble… I can’t install anything directly to the SD… No matter what (pics, MP3s, Software, files) it doesnt work at all.
Ive already tried with different SD Cards: 512Mb Kingston; 1GB Lexar and 1GB Markvision... None of them worked and I get the same error message in the sync log.
To sync files I use Hotsync. My phone have installed palm OS v5.02 and Im using Palm Desktop v6,02 to synchronize. Ive already tried on different computers (XP, 2000 Professional); diffrent USB ports (1.0 & 2.0); Ive tried with the cell phone and PDA on at the same time; with just the PDA on; but I still get the same mistake.
Ive already formatted the cards.... the phone.... who knows how many times.... I have uninstalled the software and re install it again in both of the computers that I tried... But so far I still got nothing.
The funniest thing is that I can copy files from the internal memory to the SD, but it is a big deal since my phone only get a 32MB internall memory (dont ask me why It was supposed to come with a 64MB) so it is a big problem when it comes to transfer big files because I just cant.
I really hope someone can help!
Thank u all,
Here is the Sync Log:
