All of a sudden I am getting a "DNS Error. Please check coverage, check that the host address in Preferences is correct, and try again. [4626]" when I launch the Novarra browser.
I have not (knowingly) changed anything...is this just another Sprint thing?
The "host address" for nweb (actually the proxy hostname), should be sprintpcs.proxy.novarra.com or 64.27.165.27, NOT http://www.sprintpcs.proxy.novarra.com/.
I'm using ampd.proxy.novarra.com (probably got it from you not long ago). It seems to work well, but there are some sites that will not come through. I cannot get vision.sprintpcs.com to come up (can you?).
Any advantages/disadvantages to that proxy vs. sprintpcs?

I don't know of any difference in function between ampd and sprintpcs proxies, except that they are different host IPs, and some time ago, the sprintpcs proxy went down for several days, which is why I went searching for replacement proxies in the first place.
No I haven't recently gotten vision.sprintpcs.com to come up on nweb, but then I never was interested in it before... I thought I read somewhere that that website was shutdown, no ? I'll check another Sprint Vision phone to see if it can get to it...

Yes, it comes up very well on a Sanyo 8200 phone (that's a simple Vision phone not a PowerVision phone). Would it come up under a different proxy??
Thanks guys - that was it (was I figured out that I had to power down/up to get the change to apply). Not sure how the "www" got prepended, but now that I eliminated it all is well.
