Is There Any Way To Speed Up The Blazer Web Browser?
Sure, turning off images will speed things up a lot, especially on forums like this site...just go to options>blazer prefs>no images.

If I Dont Use The Internet For A Little While Then Blazer Will Freeze Up For A While Until I Get An Error Message, What Do I Do?
You Will Have To Options>Disconnect, and then reconnect.(or you can do shift D)
If you havent used the internet for a while, but you know its connected(i.e. you see the grey vision arrows), i prefer to use scott's text messanger app, rather than let blazer tak its precious time timing out. just go to text messanger, and push send message(obviously without putting in any phone number or message in)and then a disconnect box will come up, and you wont have to wait for that anooying "time out" by blazer.
EDIT:Firmware XG23 for the most part fixes this problem!

How Do I Make An Incoming Call Go Directly To Voicemail?
(If the phone was last left on the palm side, you will have 3 options, either yes, no or ignore. yes will answer it, no will send it to voicemail, ignore will let it continue to ring for the caller, but will silence your ringer. if it was left on the phone side you wont have any options besides for answering it or closing the phone)
---EDIT:Just hold down the (left side)volume keys while the phone is open or closed, and the caller will be rolled over into your voicemail!(Thanks stack697 for the tip!)

I'm getting an error message saying that memory is full, or a file is corrupt, reset or otherwise your phone will not work properly, what do i do ?
So against every warning you saw on the i500 against it, you still felt the need to hotsync your i500 to an old palm username?
1st of all you'll need to hard reset. them create a new username for the i500 on your computer. Now, as for getting your apps onto the i500, there are 2 options, the perhaps simpler, but longer way would be to beam it over, i reccomend beampro as that lets you beam many apps over at one time. the other way is to locate your palm backup folder(can't find it? do a find files and folders search for backup) and manually copy and paste APPS ONLY, not any PREFS from your old backup folder into your new backup folder with your new username.

What Other Ways Are There To Enter Text Besides Graffiti?
1.abc mode on the phone pad
2.EZ(predictive) text mode on the phone pad, by pushing the #key down for about 2 seconds, you can also add words to a personal dictionary in this mode.
3.On screen Keyboard, by hitting the little a on the graffiti pad.

Will The i500 Work With Anyone Besides For Sprint?
Yes, it would work for any cdma carrier(i.e. verizon, alltel, etc.)
3 Caveats,
1:You need to get the MSL from sprint(which can be obtained by reprogramming your phone by calling sprint CS.)
2.You will have to coerce your provider to activate a competing company's phone(this shouldnt be too big of a problem.
3.Only voice calls will work, data will most likely not work on your respective carrier.

Originally posted by uucuu3 What is the "run" key on the Samsung i500? I want to check on firmware vesion, which i330 said to enter ##run then OK.
the run key is right next to the any key on your keyboard...lol, i mean the numerical equaivalent of r,u, and n(786) the reason its called run and not just 786 is to keep consistent with other ## codes, such as data, akey, vocoder, debug, etc.

Is there a way to backup/copy/extract the voice memos or voice dials from Samsung I500 to the PC's hard drive?
There is no way, either for voice memos or voice dials.
How Can I Sync With Outlook/Exchange?
You have a couple of options:
1. The original i500 Install CD includes Chapura PocketMirror Standard, which adds hotsync conduits for Outlook integration, however, the version of PocketMirror Standard is old, and will get warnings if used with Outlook 2003. Download and install this update for PocketMirror.
2. Originally, Palm Desktop / Hotsync didn't used to include conduits for sync'ing with Outlook/Exchange. This is why Samsung includes Chapura's PocketMirror Standard on the install CD.
However, the latest version of Palm Desktop, 4.1.4, now includes Palm's conduits for Outlook/Exchange. This is fully compatible with the i500, you can download ithere.
After installing Palm Desktop 4.1.4, you should also install the Outlook Conduits 1.02 Update:
For the SPH-i500 (and any other OS4 device), the correct set to use is set 2:
Quote:
Date Book (Outlook)
Address Book (Outlook)
To Do List (Outlook)
Memo Pad (Outlook)
Palm Outlook Conduits: These conduits synchronize information between Microsoft Outlook on your desktop computer and the classic PIM applications (Date Book, Address Book, To Do List, and Memo Pad) on older palmOne handhelds.
Warning:AIM and ICQ for PalmOS Cause Fatal Alerts!
All known versions of AIM.prc and ICQ.prc have bugs that will leave a corrupt database if you reset the Palm while signed in and/or after you sign out. Removing the i500's battery (swapping it) is an easy way to trigger this bug.
When this happens, you will get a 'fatal alert' when the i500 turns on. A soft reset will not get past this 'fatal alert'. At this point, many use a 'hard reset', which wipes the whole i500.
That is not necessaru: Use the 'warm reset' aka 'Palm safe mode'.
This starts up the Palm but does not iniitialze applications (including the Phone, which will not work). This will avoid the 'fatal alert' and allow you access to the device to delete the offending app (AIM.prc or ICQ.prc). After doing so, use a soft reset to get your i500 working again.

Why Can't I Get Onto The Internet With The i500's Built-In Blazer Browser?
As of 10/28/05 Palm has turned off the proxy servers for the version of the blazer browser found on many palm phones, including popular models such as the Treo 300, Samsung i330, and Samsung i500. The audacious move leaves those phone models without built-in internet browsers.
Palm has released a new browser as a courtesy named Nweb; however it is reportably unstable and reset-prone. Also these models of phones do not have expansion capabilities as they have no SD card slot, so the browser takes up preciously limited ram space.
Another issue with not having a built-in web browser is that if you have to hard reset your i500, or if your battery dies, you will have no internet browser until you are able to resync the phone with a computer!
