I'm using SMS v21g and can still surf the net with NWeb but last week I started getting this error when I tried using SMS:

Could not open connection to SMS provider server NetLibSocketConnect failed (4626 netErr Timeout)


I'm lost and tried searching around for an answer but no dice

Did you try it again within the past day or so ?
There was a power glitch that resulted in the server being down... but it should be up now...

I have 21j now and still am not able to send text I'm getting - Could not send SMS message. Provider replied with an error. with Verizon and I'm sending to someone Verizon.
Auto says sent but no one receives anything.

It has been working for me generally

Version 21j is one of the "tm-smtp" versions. I would suggest trying the latest "tm-imap" version, which is 21e. Download and install the file tm-imap.prc and try that one please.

Also if you could find out your IP address (range) that you are coming in on, that might help. I think it is available in the Preferences/Network/(Menu) Options/ViewLog.

Please report back... it is getting harder for me to test these things... It could be that Verizon has decided, like Cingular, to clamp down on txtmsgs coming from "unknown" hosts. Can you successfully send to Tmobile or Cingular ?
