The sync cable woks as one
I use the sync cable from my old I300 to enable my new I330 to become a modem. The setup is incredibly simple. Connect the series sync cable to the com port and the I330. Create a new modem. Don't let windows automatically search for a device. Instead, manually select a Standard 33600 bps Modem from the list. Once the modem is added, create a new dial connection. Don't use any user names or passwords. Just dial #777. The I330 already knows how to act like a modem, so there are NO additional drivers required. I reliably connect at 115k.
I don't know about the cradle for the I300. In any case, the I300 cradle doesn't accept the I330 anyway.
