On my screen, whenever there are vertical lines (like a vertical scroll bar, for instance), faint "ghost lines" appear. I don't know why! I've done a little bit of research on this and it used to be a problem on the Palm III color handhelds, but palm supposedly fixed the problem in an OS upgrade (the problem was around in OS 2.x). Anyway, my I300 has these weird lines. They aren't that bad - they are pretty fainy, but definatly noticable. I have noticed the same on mine.

I think it has something to do with the light source bieng at the top of the screen. If you hold your handheld flat (with the screen pointing to the sky) and try to look between the glass and the plastic of the case just under the Sprint logo with the smallest angle possible (almost as if you were staring at the bottom of your handheld). You will notice a bright light inside the top of the device (not the sides). If i'm not mistaken this is the light source for the Backlight.

So maybe the lines are shadows or something.

Yeah I think you're right. So those lines are sort of like "shadows". Interesting. I'm glad nothings wrong with my device! Thanks!
