Unhappy Address book locking up

Has anybody had this problem?

When I go to the Address book and click on a name, the "Done" and all the other buttons at the bottom of the record do not work. It looks like everything is frozen. But if I just click in the middle of the screen, I go in the "edit" mode and everything seems to work again.
Other problems when in this mode: the little "telephone" icon next to a phone number in the address book is not there and there are spurious pixels in the editable area of an address record.

If I go the menus while in this semi-frozen state, I get a "Fatal Exception" with a forced reset. After a reset, everything is fine again for a while.

As painful as it sounds, the best way to troubleshoot these things is to synch, purge your phone, and install your apps one by one until the problem recurrs. All other ways are hit and miss, and would likely end up taking more time, unless someone else can mention the specific app that causes the prob...
