I recently got a new laptop with no serial port. I bought a usb serial cable to connect my cradle to my usb port.

I got the latest Palm software installed it. I even installed Pocket Mirror so that I could sync with outlook. I setup my username and everything like I've done in the past.

I had this setup on my previous computer and it worked fine. But I can't get it to work on this computer

When I press the sync button on the cradle, the palm sync window pops up on my computer but then it just hangs and the fails to connect screen come up on my i300. SO there is some communciation going on but I just can't get it beyond this point.

Anyone with any suggestion PLEASE HELP.
