I can't receive SMS text messages, but I can send after i connect to the internet, and use this software:
http://i330.nopdesign.com -- click on the apps page. Yes, it says i330 & i500, but it works great for sending!

And someone (not me) is currently working on getting inbound SMS and Voicemail notification to properly work, without connecting to the internet. I'm sure he'll post it here when he's done.

I am working on getting everything to work. vmail notifications etc however it isnt going 100%. I was able to get the Verizon firmware on the unit however it is forcing the unit to go into analog roam but in reality it is not but just says it is. All the shortcuts and etc work and go right to Verizon though.

How do you get this working if you can't connect to internet??? I get an error...

Same thing happened to me. It was nothing a soft reset couldn't fix.

Nope..Soft and Hard Reset didn't fix.
