...
its been a while since i have last posted. glad to see continued interest in the I300. I still have mine, and I am in the caribbean right now, been here for the past six months now. The local service, cable and wireless, is quite restrictive on which phones can be used on their network. when I first got down here, i took it to the nearest Cable and Wireless store adn asked if they could hook me up to the network. Of course, they had never even seen the phone before, and immediately said "No" without even trying. I tried to make a call, and successfully called my home back in the US, and it was fine (was still hooked up to sprint at the time...they charged me over 3 bucks for 1 min). Then, I tried to make a local call, and got a message from the local carrier saying that I needed to replenish my account. I am sure there IS a way to activate it down here, as it actually works on the network...but they claim that I need to acquire the lock code to enable them to get into the programming. Any ideas?
