Varying Responses
It all depends on inventory levels and where you go to get your replacement. Both Sprint resellers and Sprint's national service centers give you the oldest phone they have currently in stock and consider it an even swap on your insurance claim. We have 40 phones in my company's fleet and we stopped getting 6035s regularly about December. We then got a few i300s. One person in January recieved a 6035 that they apparently found for him. Also in January, we recieved a Treo 300 when they were out of both the 6035s and i300s.
As of last week, we recieved an i330 as a replacement. So it's a slow progression but it's also luck of the draw.
If you want an older phone, I'd call around to resellers in your area and check on supply. Then report your problem there to get the phone you want. Otherwise, Sprint nationwide should be able to tell you what phone you'll recieve but they can change it up right before they send it out.
