My sph-i300 will no longer sync with desktop

My sph-i300 will no longer sync with my desktop. I believe that my hardware upgrade contributed to this inconsistency. Recently, I upgrade my motherboard and processor to a K7S5A Pro & K7 2100+ (the system specs below). The motherboard has a serial port for my sphi300, yet the bios show that this port may serve as a game port as well. Here’s a links to the motherboard specs.

My troubleshooting, which has not resolve the issue, includes: verifying the cable connection; reinstalling palm desktop; checking the com port setting; and checking for conflicts in the device manager.

Let me know if you have any advice on this issue or where I may post additional inquiries.

Try this...

Go to Radio Shack and spent $30 on a serial to USB converter cable. I've used it with several computers and it works every time. Especially good when you have to drag your laptop around and sync from it on the road!

yea, those things are damn handy. it essentially makes a spare com port on yr computer. and the length of the wire is comes in handy too since the cradle one is pretty short. its not cheap, but its worth it.
