Question Reception power beep off?

My phone continually beeps during phone calls and web browsing, and I think this is telling me something about changes in the reception quality. I couldnt care less, as long as the call doesnt hang up. Beep beep! Shaddup!
Any way to turn this 'feature' off?

Not to undermine you Steve, but the only
cause I can think of is that perhaps you
have the minute beep under phone prefs
clicked on. How often does it beep?

Steve, basically what that feature does is notify you about 5 seconds befor a minute of talk time elapses. Its good if you don't ahave a lot of minutes to spare in your plan. I often get upset when my converstioans end at say 7:03 and am charged for the extra minute.

If you want to keep the feature on but lesson the interruption try lowering the system beeps or sounds in prefs.

Wink Aha!

Yes, the 'minute beep' was on! I didn't even know it was there. Thanx!

-Steve
PS--reminds me of the movie "All of me" when the swami was flushing the toilet and the phone rang, so he assumed that every time he flushed he could make the bell ring!

Glad that was the prob. I turned it on once and was so annoyed by the persistent beep. Perhaps good for the end of the cycle though.

i just switched to this plan (i had the 1000/2000 plan for the longest).

im on my 2nd month so i have not had a chance to really see. i have my phone and my ladies' phone on the same plan (she can talk up some minutes!) but looking at the last month, we used 951 minutes.

so i suspect i will average around2k minutes/month... :o

How exactly do I go about setting up my account for dual usage? This appears to be a wonderful option as a good bit of my minutes are spent talking long distance to my lady. I can imagine this is less expensive than 2 plans with lower minutes?

exactly..

just call them and tell them you want to "add a phone".. its 10 bucks/month additional for that option.. they will probably have you sign up another year of service or you can pay 10 bucks ADDITIONAL to be on month to month if you have no contract... also for an additional 10 bucks/month, you can have 500 minutes for sprint to sprint customer usage.. say if your lady had sprint, you guys have 500 extra minutes to use when you call each other on the sprint phones.. :p

sprint has some cool stuff, but be sure and read the fine print..

Is that $10 for 500 minutes good for any plan or exclusive to the 10,000 minute plan. I don't want her to think she can have me anytime she wants!

....or maybe....:p
