Closing the Phone App

There is an open question in the FAQ (titled Redialing) that I am begging an answer to:
Is there a way to either 1) "close" the phone app and return to the last palm app; or 2) change between palm and the phone apps (like Alt-Tab Windows functionality).
Trying to dial more than one number for a contact is currently a PITA without this feature.
It MUST exist, right? Pleeeeeeze. It's killing my PDA relationship.

True...it is a pain

My only suggestion that I know of (unless someone else may be able to shed some light) is to map the buttons, if you continuously use the same apps over and over. TealLaunch allows you to pretty remap all hardware buttons either by themselves or in numerous combinations.
The phone function and palm functions are completely separate, so creating a hack may prove somewhat difficult I would assume.

so does "1 Button" but be careful, it's been known to be problematic with some apps/hacks. It does work on the I300 though.
