Digitizer Problem

I was wondering if anyone else had a problem with the digitizer becoming mis-aligned on a regular basis? I often end up having to tap slightly above or below the on-screen button I am trying to push. Re-calibrating solves the problem for a while, but soon it is off again.

Any ideas?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I think the problem is in the palm os. I had the same problem with my palm III & my mother had the same problem with her palmvii. I had major problems with my palm because of the digitizer I really considered not buying the i300 because it uses the palm os but I'm glad I did - so far so good! Hopefully Sprint will help you but in the meantime digitize often to prevent severe misalignment. Good luck!

Digitizer Problem

I have the same problem with my Tungsten T's digitizer. I frequently have to calibrate it. I'd like to know if this problem can be fixed by a software patch, or is it time for a warranty repair?

digitizer

I have noticed that depending on what prog you are using on the unit, make sure to check how much free memory is left, I have between 50k and 350k left and some programs are sluggish and causes the digitizer to respond to incorrect or misaligned locations. If I turn off the phone this frees up memory and the program works like a champ. I too was powering off/on phone and calibrating the stylus, but noticed no change in operation of unit.

My digitizer was not reading on the right side correctly, if i moved over 3/4" would select items on right ok, this crowded center area. Just had it 14 months. Dropped often.

Gave up and got a treo 300 from sprint. All my contraptions headsets and serial cables, wont work on treo.

Now that i have a better feel for what pda's can and cannot do, the I300 was not a great intro unit. Very heavy user i would say battery life, was number one downside, followed by connection speed constraints. But took me a week to stop realizing how grafiti dependent I had become when I got the treo.
