Am I missing something here ? According to Sprint's website all they offer is about 100 websites. That's not web browsing imho.
That leaves me torn between verizon and their way overpriced windows ce pda and full web browsing or sprint's I300 (hopefully I330) and their 100 sites.
The I300 uses the Blazer 2.0 web browser. I have been able access thousands of web sites with full color html web pages appearing on my screen. Its nice!
Yes, you are definitely missing the big picture. Sprint has a couple of low-bandwidth/PDA/phone optimized websites/portals preloaded onto the phone (these are the 100 or so "websites"). In addition to that, the I300 comes with Handpsring's Blazer web browser which allows you full access to almost any standard html website as well as WAP sites. The I300 also supports Palm's web-clipping applications. You basically have the overwhelming majority of the internet at your fingertips in color with the I300, only drawback is its at 14.4kbps
The 100 sites you are referring to is thru Sprints WAP (Web Abled Phone) Browser. It is strictly a text browser and only a handfull of sites are compatible.
With the I300 you also have a full HTML Browser and you can get to any site that you can get to using your PC. Because of the limited screen on the I300 some sites, like ESPN, have to be viewed in frames, which makes it a little frustrating, but for the most part the Blazer browser is great.
On the I300 you have both the WAP and the Blazer browser. I use them both and really enjoy having both. IMHO, the WAP browser is much faster and I use it to check simple things like movie listings, and to send Shortmail.
Have fun trying them both out

Now, do I wait for the I330 ? What a dilema.
If the I330 is your choice of all the upcoming smartphones, I'd say wait, especially if you think you'll want to be able to access Sprint's 3G network. The I330 will likely be released around mid-August, probably the same day Sprint launches their 3G network (current rumors say around August 8th or 10th). But just so you know, there are a lot of other smartphones that will be released at the same time as the I330 or shortly thereafter. The Handspring Treo 300, Kyocera 7135, Samsung I500 (aka Bluechip), Audiovox Thera, T-Mobile/Voicestream's XDA, etc. OTOH, if you don't see yourself using Sprint's 3G network (which will offer average download speeds of 50-70kbps with a max of 144kbps), then I would go for the I300. You can get great deals on the I300 now, just don't buy it from Sprint, that would be a total ripoff.
My cd got lost somewhere between the Sprint Store and home. I have went ahead and bought the Blazer 2.0.
My question is how do I get IT to connect to the web Via sprint?
The only way I can figure out to get on the web is clicking on the "Spring Web" Icon....
first off, all sprint users can get blazer 2.0 for free off thier sprint pcs webpage at sprintpcs.com.
secondly, once you instal it the app should just work out of the box. no settings to be made. as long as you can log on to the network, your good to go...
