Has anyone else experienced this? I've finally been able to replicate the steps that cause my phone to freeze up and to subsequntly lose all the data on a soft reset.

I probably have an early production unit. Here's what happens: Whenever my phone function is switched off (say to recalibrate the digitizer) and I am using Avantgo and try to turn my phone on while still in Avantgo, the I300 freezes. The only way to get it back is to press the reset button on the back (I'm careful not to touch any other buttons while doing this). When the unit wakes up again, it is at the introductory Palm screen and all data, speed and voice dials and preferences are gone.

Any ideas? This is maddening, but at least now I know what to avoid. Perhaps it happens with other Palm applications, but so far, it has happened three times before I've finally realized the cause.

we have had threads on this and in most of the threads it seems that avantgo has been discussed.

i tried avantgo recently to keep track of my mapblast maps and such but out of the 2 times i used it , my phone froze up. doing a soft reset mearly set it back to factory stats, causing me to lose all my info while im out and about... cant have that so i gave avantgo the boot...
