I checked the previous listing but nothing pertained to a used phone. I have an i300 that works fine and because it is so expensive to replace, I am considering the "Equipment Replacement Program" for $4 a month. Is this possible on a used phone? If so, do I sign up at Radio Shack? Does my phone have to pass some kind of test? Do I need to be "in a contract"? Can I cancel the insurance at any time?

Also, I do not have the original packaging etc, so if i lost my phone do they replace (and require proof of) the whole kit or just the missing item?

all you need to do is call sprint and have them put it on your account. they will 'test' the phone to make sure it works (by calling you). sometimes they wont even do that, it just depends. but as long as your phone works then you have nothing to worry about.

when/if you need to replace the phone, they will send you a fed-ex package to return the damaged phone and the new phone will be included in the paskage ads well (if you still have it and did not 'lose it'). all you have to do is put the damaged phone and cradle and battery in the return box and there you have it.

you will have to pay 35 bucks for a deductible and you can only have 2 in one calendar year.

its a win-win situation...

Thanks for the info....called and added the service with no problem. Apparently its active tomorrow. Now i have peace of mind, its a little scary walking around with something that costs $300 to replace.
