I woke up last night to a vision, i was using my i330/7135 type phone, it had a gig or so of memory, enough processsor power to handle word, excell, internet functions. I was using a 6 or 7 inch touchscreen "monitor" run by blue tooth, which was simply a monitor for the phone screen so i could really see graphics on websites. I was then on a plane using a blue tooth keyboard and the monitor and nthe phone was still in my briefcase under the seat becaue it was all bluetooth. I wouldnt't need a laptop, i would have instant access to my data on my belt and when i needed more laptop functions i would wip out my little keyboard and monitor and Boom, done, lighter, smaller more versitle for someone always on the go. a total digital solution for the business traveler andwith use in the home for simple internet and word processing capabilities.
I realize that we really have to be at 2meg or 2.5 meg a second to make this worth the investment, but damn, what a nice dream. To bad i couldn't fall back to sleep for an hour and a half, damn high stress jobs, keep you up at night.
Anyway, thought i would share.
p.s. you could substitute the monitor for one of those deals that is a small screen right in front of youtr eye
then you could see the screen at the beach and isn't that what we all want?
