redialing

If I am on a contact record and I dial the contact's work number, it takes me to the dial pad and proceeds to dial. If I get a busy signal or a no answer, etc., how can I quickly go back to the contact record and dial the contact's cell phone number? Currently the only way I know how to do this is to go back to Addresses, this brings up the address list, click on the contact, and then dial the other number. All I really need to do is go back one screen to the contact detail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin, if you tap the TALK button, from the dialpad, you can redial 1 of the last 10 numbers you dialed. use the volume keys to scroll up through the last 10 numbers dialed

dialing other number

thanks for the tip on redialing. But the big challenge here is -
If I dial a main phone number and I don't get an answer and then I want to go back to the same record and dial an alternate number (cell, home, etc.)

how can I quickly go back to the contact record and dial the contact's cell phone number? Currently the only way I know how to do this is to go back to Addresses, this brings up the address list, click on the contact, and then dial the other number. All I really need to do is go back one screen to the contact detail.

Thanks,

Kevin.

This is EXACTLY my question, too! Has anyone found an answer?
From the phone, I simply want to "close" the phone app and return to the last app open.
Even Alt-Tab functionality to allow me to switch between apps including the phone would be awesome.
Without this feature, the phone is PITA to use.
