Wink IP hotsync

I always hotsync via IR port with a Sony notebook. I don't like cables, sure its a little slower.. but much easier.

One thing you wanna check if you are having problems is the com port the IR on the laptop is set to.. make sure nothing is conflicting, and the IR port is installed with the correct 'up to date' drivers. (win2k can be a lil touchy, but XP should be good to go out of the box )

And always, make sure you have a direct line of site with the laptop and I300.

enjoy.. PM me if you need more help

Send a message via Yahoo to jrosaly

if you are using win 2k or XP, make sure that in the Wireless Link ctl panel you have the option "Use wireless link to transfer digital images from a digital camera" (I'm pretty sure that's what it says) unchecked, if not you will have problems, also right click your hotsync taskbar icon, and make sure infrareds has a check next to it. With win 98, go into your BIOS and make sure the com port that the BIOS has assigned your IR port is the same as the one win98 has assigned it, in win98 there is an option in the IR control panel that allows you to activate the com port on your ir port, and then you need to go into setup of your hotsync, and set it to the same com port number. Hope this helps.
