Angry Basic phone connection problems?

Has anyone had trouble connecting with an incoming our outgoing call?
IE: many seconds (10-30) of silence where either the calling (or called) party can't be heard or you can't be heard?

This is a *huge* pain.

Having to place calls mutiple times to connect properly.
Thoughts on whether this is the "fine" Sprint nettwork or the phone?

Many thanks

I have been having problems similar. I can talk for about 10 minutes and then I can hear the phone background noise disapear. At that point I can hear the other person trying to hear me, that lasts about three seconds, then the call gets dropped. From here it is pointles to try to place a call because I cannot stay connected for more then a minute (usually less then 30 seconds). Switching the battery doesn't help, the only thing that seems to help is waiting about ten minutes or so, then it seems to work fine. I have talked to sprint, who told me to go to the store. They tested the phone, which passed all 20 or 20 tests they performed on it. The guy told me it was a network issue, he suggested I open a trouble ticket if the problem continued. Needless to say I have a open trouble ticket.

phone problems

I did not have that problem, but for a while I could not use the side buttons for the phone or for the voice dial. I put off going to the certain store where I could exchange the phone, and after a month or so, it started working again! The only thing I can think of is that it had to do with some app that I loaded onto the palm then deleted later. You could try getting rid of something if you just added a new program to your palm?

I have another sprint phone and get the same problems calling out. It's probably something in their system.

I kept calling sprint because the dropped calls weren't normal, they temorarily switched me to my old phone (sch3500) for a week. I didn't have any dropped calls with the old phone, so they switched me back, as soon as I was back to my I300 the problems started again. Sprint PCS replaced my phone for me and I haven't had a problem since.
