It seems that FAB corp is in the process of manufacturing a Car kit that has an external antenna connector. This does make a big difference if your in marginal signal areas, at least in 1900mhz TDMA it does. Thought this might be of interest to everyone.

For Puerto Rico this antenna is not needed in the car kit, signal here is good in areas that sprint covers, why pay extra for another thing to put in the car.
By the way I have been using my I300 for a while already and i have car kits install in both my cars and they work just fine without the antenna.

that wont work for the sprint pcs 1900mhz.. it will for the analog and digital 800mhz.

SWEET! Does anyone else know of any other HF kits in the works? I've been waiting on some different models - hopefully less expensive for the car. I use the speakerphone currently, but people have a hard time hearing me - no matter what the volume setting, I think it still uses the phone's standard mic... Kinda sucks. Anyway, I'd like to get a HF car kit, but I jsut can't bring myself to shell out $200 for that. Anyone know anything about this?

You could register at Samsung. Then you get 20% off on accessories. $160 seems reasonable for a car kit, based on what they cost for other phones.
