Bug w/ Timed Pauses in dial #

I might be doing something wrong, but all of my #'s without a timed pause will work with the speakerphone. But I set up a voice dial to call my office voicemail and automatically type in my acct # & password - and it works great, but I cannot get the speakerphone to turn on.

Any ideas?

yeah, I have a lot of my #'s set to Voice Dial. They all work fine, the ones without a timed pause will allow me to activate speakerphone once connected. But I programmed my office vm to have 3 pauses, enter my access code, pause, then enter my password. It works perfect, but once connected, I cannot activate the speakerphone.

i ask the basic questions:

did you install anything prior to this happening?

did you sync your phone form old palm data?

Hey, whaddya know, mine has the same problem. Looks like a candidate for a bug report (I can't see why this would be "intended behavior").

I use speakerphone all the time, but I always start with a hard pause, so I never noticed the problem until your post - the speakerphone "button" is disabled until after the soft pauses have completed.

I don't know of a fix for this, but for some work around ideas, either hit the speakerphone after all of your soft pauses have completed, or begin with a hard pause (P) to allow you to switch to speakerphone. Them after the hard pause, continue with your soft pauses. Here's an example: ###-###-####P###T###T#. To continue after a hard pause, press the talk button again.

HTH.

I think the hard pause idea would work, I just wanted it to dial automatically for me. Pretty weird.

Yeah, it's not ideal, but at least it's only one extra step...
