I don't know if this is a roockie question, but I am stock with this one, and it bugs me.

Is there a way to hide the icons. i.e. I use a third party Calc, Memo, and AB apps that replace the hard buttons. I know that I cannot delete the apps in ROM, but is there a way to hide the original icons? Or should I create an (Unused Group) and moved the old apps icons in there; and can it be hiden as well?

Yannco, you can create a new file in which you can put all the applications you don't use. So it is out of you main window site.
But you can't hide them or delete them.
What I did is create my own file call(x) and use this file as my main file of applications I use everyday.

if you mean the apps launcher screen you can get launcher III and create a tab and name it whatever you want to name it and drag and drop the icons to that newly made tab... you can then hide that tab.

for example, i moved the sphi300 logo hack icon and the graffiti hack logo icon to a tab hid it..

How do you have icons for your hacks?

mj, i dont have my phone in front of me, but if you have those hacks installed, the installed apps have a icon thats on the LIII screen... i just have those hidden in the tab...

Actually I have an app that is called "Invisible" which can enable Rom or Ram apps to be hidden. Its a little tricky and it takes a little trial and error to make work right. BUt now I have hidden, Calc, Expense & Graffiti that I don't really use.

Oh...I don't use Launcher III. Is there a reason why I should?

ehh.. not really... it just a fancier looking app than the standard app launcher.. you can assign tabes to hold certain apps, it has "quick keys" at the bottom to let you delete an app, view you memory, etc.. they are cutsomizable...

it has graphic displays to shoe batt/mem status and the day/date time can be shown on it also... its a very nice app.. kinda like silverscreen...

Thanks for all the replies. I downloaded the app, and created a tab, moved my unwanted icons in there and the tab is hidden.

Thx yorch. I tried it, and yes, it works fine with the default Palm launcher but does not work with third party launchers.

Oh, well, maybe SilverScreen will had that feature in the next release.

Silverscreen 2.5.1 has its own way to hide items, just go to Preferences in Silverscreen and check "Display Hidden Items", then just drag any icon that you want hidden to the "i" info box and then just check "hidden" at the botton of the screen, then the icon will hide.

I have Silverscreen and Invisible and I am able to hide, Calc, Graffiti and Expense.
