Ok.. um I downloaded teal movie and put some movies on my phone...bc its funny to watch them when im bored,, and my friends are like Whoa this phone does A LOT.... but anyways I Wondered why cant i hear anything through my big speaker? So i thought about this for a while... and said what the heck.. and I took my phone apart... and boom there it was the lil speaker... this made me mad... so i broke it off.. ( i know im stupid) So anyways i got 2 little wires and hooked it where the lil speaker went and hooked it up to the big speaker.. now my phone rings and i can hear it.... but of course it wasnt as loud as it once was.... Now here is my question... Do u think that anyone can make a program to maybe divert the speaker.. like make the big speaker for your ringers and everything... my main concern was i couldnt hear my movie... but now i sort of can... better than before...

I know i have done everything u can think of to this phone...
changed the antenna to a lil stub... (yesterday)
Painted it Red.. then black.. now it is blue...
Tried to switch the top screen... but it looked stupid..
and i messed with the speakers...
But hey all in all my phone is like (i think ) the only phone with these modifications... Right?

Well, as far as I know, the problem is that the phone and the palm pilot are two different things... and the pilot half just controls the phone half over some sort of minor interface.

You're kind of asking the equivlalent of a hack that would allow you to redirect your sound blaster pro's out put through the speaker on your 14.4k modem. It just don't work.

As for your solution for connecting up the speakers via hardware in your phone... I'm glad it works, but I'm no expert in analog audio electronics, but I'm pretty sure that its not a good way to go. Everytime your phone rings, you're pushing current down through the pilot's audio out, and every time you play a sound on the pilot your pusing current into the phone's speaker. You might be able to get away with it, but then again, over time it could cause something to break.

I'm not sure, but my guess is you need something like a op-amp mixer. Not sure how much space is in the phone to build something like this in.

There've gotta be some elctronics wizards here, or at least some audio buffs that know something about this kinda stuff.

the was a pic of it when it was black on open the i300... i went to my friends house to take a pic of it.. bc everything went down hill after i installed win XP.... So i got to get new software and everything for the scanner and camera i have... but now it is a metallic blue... it looks really awesome i will try to get a pic of it before i paint it a diff color... cause im getting bored with this one already........

Though it is external modification, I wonder how willing Sprint, BB, CC would be to issue a replacement in the event something goes wrong with your I300. I doubt they'll be so accommodating.

True but i usually replace things by just calling them up and getting one billed on my acct and then they credit me as soon as it hits the warehouse... i think it is the easiest way... So actually what they dont know wont hurt them.. and if worse comes to worse .. i have equipment replacement... Having my phone look different from everyone elses...priceless.... no j/k it is worth 35 dollars though...

Me thinks if you could purchase protective face plates that fit like a glove with different colors to choose from would suit you just fine.

You couldn't possibly have anything as cool as an I300 back in 1982. No cell phones, no PDAs, no internet. Hell, the only thing you could hope for at this price was a mini bike. If you're really lucky, you could've been a proud owner of a clunky Sony Betamax but even those were $700 and up.

Well IGOT, I suppose you would be diagnosed with the same disease we all suffer from, that being gadget-itus. Thing is, I didn't get it until my mid 20's. You are suffering from it at a much earlier age.

The prognosis isn't good. In fact, I dare say that the disease progresses rapidly throughout life, often producing such ailments as "Spendmycheckonstoopidstuff-itus", and "mywifeleftmecauseIspendtoomuchtimeonthecomputer syndrome".

I wish you well -- its not an easy disease to lick.
