Im not sure if this is a dumb question but do any of you know how to save a voice memo onto your pc?? also does anybody know what file format it comes in?? .wav???
dont think this can be done thru the conventional way, since you cant save the memos in the palm desktop.
if yu want to archive them, put it on speakerphone and have your PCs mic pick up the voice memo.
Phone: Hello, I'm mister phone.
Palm: Hello, I'm mister palm.
Phone & Palm: We're siamese twins.
Phone: I can call people, data and voice, and record memos.
Palm: I can remember your appointments and run Palm apps.
Phone: I can dail using voice recognition
Palm: I can't read Mr. Phone's mind. So stop asking.
Phone: We're two separate people. just leave us be.
I am not technical enough to know if this is has potential, but there are a number of system files that can be saved and restored to the phone.
For example, the list for missed phone calls are stored MisLogDB in the i300, but not marked for back up. Changing this parameter allows for saving and restoring.
I have deleted my missed and outgoing calls from the phone and restored them by loading them from my back up file as if they were an application.
I've not tested all of the files yet, and don't know if this could be a problem for another reason, but I'd be happy if I could save my voice dial info, and sometimes my missed calls when the phone crashes (which is all too often for a production product)
The files I've found are:
Bell-TeTk
DSMS-TeTk
IncLogDB
MisLogDB
OutLogDB
PCfg-TeTk
SMS-TeTk
What do the more technical folks out there think? I have my doubts about voice message files as none of the above seem large enough to contain voice data.
Disclaimer*** I'm the guy who always takes things apart to see how they work, who tries every file out there for download, and flips bit switches to see what happens-- always with interesting but not necessarily good results.....
So don't try messing with these until we get some more technical opinions.

I've been backing these up for a long time. Doing so did not restore my voice dials speed dials when I had my phone replaced (for the blue-edge syndrome).
So, backing these up is neither dangerous nor helpful. (FWIW, I've used both Backup Blister and set the backup property in Filez. The files are on my PC and were restored)
It's been two and a half years since the last posting on this thread.
Has anyone heard of a way to get the voice memos out of the phone and onto the computer (aside from recording them off the phone with a microphone, that is)?
