Quick Skin & Logo Kit to use with Jake's incredible hack.
I made this zip file to use for all those users out there who seem to have problems finding all the right files and tools to use with Jake's hack. This should make it easier for the novice users out there to get started with.
Everything you need to make your own logos and skins is in this zip file, all you do is put them all in one directory and follow the directions. I hope this makes it easier for everyone to get their own i300 all tricked out in their custom style!
Thanks again to Jake for his incredibly cool hack (it cannot be said enough)!
I will admit I have no idea what I'm suppose to do when creating skins. Can anyone help me? i'm still not understanding what i'm suppose to do with my gif images.

Well just use the files there to edit the bmps or save your gifs over them. Just make sure they are in the same file name formats there.
Are you trying to use gifs you've already made? You need to make them into 256 Palm Palette BMPS first. If you're still having trouble, let me know what part of the process you're getting stuck on. Are you using photoshop BTW?
I have created a logo and saved it as phonelogo.bmp. I next double clicked the make logo bat which created a prc. I then synced to my phone. Now, how do i change the logo on the phone? I have tried numerous phone settings to no avail.
I feel really dumb becuase I actually sent Jake some money for the skin hack and didn't notice the logo hack too. I sometimes wish there was a recall feature on posts and emails
Hahah! Well you could always edit your post to make it seem as if it were about a totally different subject entirely....
Perhaps, "Hey, I dropped my i300 off a cliff and now I cannot get the skin and logo hacks to work. In fact I cannot get the phone to work at all... In fact I don't even know where it is. Any advice?"
i dont know how to do that if somoene can get me started as to how to do that then perhaps ill be on my way to putting my Steadicam (r) logo on there...
