Does anyone know if you can inbed a link in a palm app, for example, in the address book when writing additional info in the note section, you write "...this is a friend of John Doe" and link "John Doe" to his phone entry.

Not with the standard address book and not with ActionNames. How about with Datebook anyone?

No 'real' link using Datebook4. While composing an attached note, you do have the option to look up (then automatically paste) a name and telephone # to the note.
