Did a bit of detective work in Plano today, and although I have more to do before I can probably say anything worthwhile, I can say this:
1: Launch is early 2nd Quarter. This squares with the Sprint Tech conference call info I heard about several weeks ago, when techies were told about it.
2: 16 MB
3: Product Development management reads these boards; for instance, they know about some of our screen problems, etc.
True. It would be to their's and our benefit that they read what we like or dislike about the phone.
Whenever it's released, I'll use my Best Buy upgrade option.

Is this the "upgrade program" which is really a replacement if damaged program? If the I300 isn't discontinued when the I330 is released how do you "upgrade"?
I work at Best Buy, this is where I get my information. If Best Buy discontinues to carry the i300, instead, opting to go with the i330, then you will be able to "upgrade" to it.

To which I'd like to add that you'll be most unlikely to see an i300 in BB a month or so after the new version comes out. BB will mark down and sell out all the old units in the Ohio warehouse about 2 weeks before the 330 is due in the stores - so if you see a big drop in 300 prices, you'll know. And when the 300 is for sale with a .50 in the price (as in $249.50, rather than $249.99 for instance), you'll know it's being discontinued.

Trent,
Through the BB rep at the store by me, the idea was conveyed that with the add'l plan, you could "upgrade at any time" within the dates the plan is covered, and that if simply the merchandise seems outdated, it may be upgraded- not necessarily limited to the i330 or future upgrade of its family. I don't mean this in a derogatory way by any means, but I also purchased the plan on other electronic devices, and a similar idea was also represented. I can't say I have had 'reliable' or for the most part even 'friendly' customer service from BB as of yet, but any details about this plan would be highly appreciated.
Yeah, to be perfectly honest with you, it just depends on the Best Buy store that you go to. Some will just totally be hard asses about it, and refuse to do anything for you.
Case in point, my father went to a Best Buy (not the one that I work at) and attempted to redeem his Samsung 3500 phone because it actually was broken. The tech guy asked him if he had dropped his phone before. Well duh, everyone drops their phone. My father said yes, and the tech basically said that anything that was wrong with the phone had to be because he had dropped the phone. Please.
My store is usually pretty "liberal" when it comes to redeeming those things, just don't say that you've dropped it before.
