I thought I'd never figure out the prc-tools/cygwin/pilrc stuff, but I finally got it. Anyhow, for you fans of the 2000 Superbowl Champs here is my first of several sets of logos.

BTW, has anyone figured out how to set up these tools on OSX yet? I'd kill to be able to do this with my Mac natively in OSX instead of through (ugh) Virtual PC.

Just a tip for everybody, want a cool logo with your name to display in your phone?, follow this easy steps:

1. Go to http://www.flamingtext.com and go to headings

2. Choose from the styles of the right side, and then select color, style, ans font, but be sure to make your font size 27-30 (depending on size of the font)

3. Create in MSPaint a new image with properties: 160X32 pixels.

4. Wait for your logo to be created...

5. Once your logo is created, copy and paste it to your blank mspaint bmp, trying to make it fit perfectly, (if the program tells you that is too big, and to resize it, click no, and just make it fit yourself.

6. Compile it and Voila!, new cool logo and design with your personalize name

When I download the zip file & try to open it, XP tells me the logo hack file doesn't exist. I have no problem with the logo.prc, it opens & syncs. Don't see that anyone else had this problem.......ideas?????

Ok, I must be some kind of idiot. I've downloaded x master, and that works fine. I can change the logos (ie the bmw or the flag) supplied with Jakes kit. But I cannot figure out how to compile my own prc file. I've already editted the skin.rcp file to include my two bmp's but I cannot get the make.bat file to read anything. When I run the batch file it keeps saying
"pilrc skin.rcp Bad command or file name" then next line "build-prc i3sk myskins.prc 'My i300 Skins' i3bm *.bin Bad command or file name"

It looks like the make.bat file is not finding the pilrc and build prc exe's.

I've downloaded cygwin and pilrc 2.9. What do I do next? There is no exe file in the pilrc folder to run from a command line - and there are 24 different folders in the release folder for cygwin.

I'm lost. Anybody....
