I usually research my phone purchases to death and then stick with them for a long time. I just had to reactivate my Treo 700Wx after having used the Saga for a total of about 48 hours.

I got it with the new ROM from what I've can tell because this thing is the biggest piece of junk I've owned from a reception standpoint. It dropped calls, data connections, and the battery life was horrendous.

I am simply appalled that Samsung/VZW would sign off on this product as is. I like the form factor, screen, and optical mouse. I am a fairly patient person and don't mind workarounds but I can't afford to have my phone cut itself off and not get emails pushed for hours. It has to do its basic function without fail.

I don't know if there's any way I can revert back the firmware or somehow get a phone with the old ROM but this thing is going back in the box, probably never to be seen again.

For anyone out there thinking about getting this phone, DON'T

No way to downgrade. I had to find one on eBay with the old firmware. It's a shame. The phone was near-perfect before the firmware. The only reason I upgraded was to unlock the GPS. What a mistake...
