Those of us who have been having signal issues with the updated Saga's, are you still noticing them? I no longer seem to have signal issues. I have several updated devices and unupdatd devices and they sit side by side and perform the same... A week ago, the signals on the updated devices would jump all around, it was crazy. Now I don't seem to drop any calls and my data connection is solid and I do not constantly jump to extended network when I have a weaker signal.
i switched to cdma-mode instead of global a week or so ago. Since then I've been better for sure. I assume that it was switching off global mode that helped- but maybe they did something on the network side to help?
I'm still in global and have been having some data connection drops lately, no calls dropped, just data not connecting. I think i may switch to CDMA and see if it matters. Also haven't done *228 since the update came out, but i never had signal issues. Come to think of it i did "miss" one call that showed up in voicemail, but phone never rang. Spinning wheel is virtually gone, i wonder if the phone was still building files and such for the week or so after the update.
Kicking ass and taking names in GSM mode in Poland
Just removed SIM lock, so I am eager to get a local SIM card and stop paying $1.99/minute for voice. I have the Unlimited INT Data plan so I will see how VOIP works. On the data plan topic, had to call VZW to confirm the USR/PW for vzw3g.com connection, I have also noticed that my USA Data Connection was wiped. #777. Wondering if the SIM unlock had anything to do with it?
Make sure that you switch to Verizons international data plan. If you are on their regular unlimited data plan, you'll get a killer bill.

You said you have the Unlimited INT Data plan, but if you remove your VZW/Vodaphone SIM to put a local one in, I don't think you will have your unlimited data plan. You will have whatever that local SIM has.
Correct, I am keeping the VZW/VODA SIM for data and when I am out shopping or other trips around Poland with my wife I will use the Local SIM for voice calls.

FYI: there is a perfect spot on the inside of the extended battery cover to hold an additional SIM card. All thats needed is a small piece of double sided tape.
Have had mine since the initial release and have found it to be rock solid. Did the ROM update - I use it tethered via pdanet and run Sbp Mobile Shell on it consistently. I've found ALK's Copilot Live 8 to be an excellent program and last but not least I discovered today (finally) the external antenna plug under the back cover - now that's news! Has anyone used it yet? Has anyone found a back cover that allows it to remain on while connected to the antenna? FYI the antenna adapter is a Wilson adapter: 359921 - Samsung Saga, i770, SCH-i770, Trance, SCH-U490 Cell Phone Antenna Adapter Cable
